PARIS 2024 Olympian Delicious Orie is one of six GB Boxers set to box on the opening day of the World Boxing Cup: GB Open, Sheffield 2024.
His super-heavyweight clash with Germany’s Nelvie Tiafack at approximately 12:00pm is one of two bouts involving boxers from Great Britain in the day’s morning session.
The other sees teammates Elise Glynn and Sameenah Toussaint face one another at featherweight in what will be the opening bout of the tournament at 11:00am.
Flyweight Ivy-Jane Smith is the first of three GB Boxers to compete in the evening session. She will box Maxi Klotzer of Germany at 17:15pm.
She will soon be followed by Lauren Mackie’s who will match-up against Denmark’s Melissa Morten at 17:30p before Wales’ Owain Harris-Allan concludes the day’s action at 18:00pm against Lundaa Gantumar.
The event in Sheffield is a new addition to the elite international boxing calendar and is part of the World Boxing Cup series which has been developed by World Boxing, the new international federation established to ensure boxing remains at the heart of the Olympic movement.
