Funding Partner
UK Sport is the primary funder of Olympic sport in Great Britain and provides GB Boxing with a funding grant made-up of contributions from the National Lottery and the Exchequer.

UK Sport’s vision is to inspire the nation through Olympic and Paralympic success. Primarily this means working closely with partner sporting organisations and strategically investing in National Governing Bodies of sport to deliver medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. UK Sport’s strategic direction helped British sports and athletes make history at the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games by winning more medals in Rio, than when hosting the Games at London 2012, with 67 Olympic and 147 Paralympic medals won.

Powerday, London’s largest family owned Waste and Recycling Company, have partnered with with GB Boxing for the forthcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualification Tournament to be staged in the Copperbox, the London 2012 Olympic venue, from 14th-24th March 2020 and through to the Olympic Games.

Sheffield Futures is GB Boxing’s Official Community Partner.  Sheffield Futures often use sport and boxing to engage with young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and inspire them to achieve wider personal development and inspires life chances through sport.

Boxers from the GB Boxing squad regularly appear at community events and projects run by Sheffield Futures to provide inspiration, positive role models and support fundraising activities.

GB Boxing is a member of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, which is a membership organisation that aims to support, connect and grow local businesses across the region.  GB Boxing has collaborated with the Chamber on fundraising events and by hosting ‘Breakfast club’ meetings at its gym in Sheffield.

The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce was established in 1857 and is accredited through the national body, the British Chambers of Commerce.  The Sheffield Chamber aims to make sure the views of its members are represented to key decision makers in local and central government and that the decisions they make, reflect the interests of local businessesand the region as a whole.
