FIVE members of the GB Boxing squad will travel to Tampere, Finland to compete in this year’s Tammer tournament from 11th-13th October.
The squad is comprised of four women and one man and includes welterweight Kayla Allen who comes into the tournament off the back of a gold medal performance at the Dacal tournament a fortnight ago, which was also her very first competition since joining the World Class Programme (WCP) earlier this year.
Also coming into the competition in good form is Ivy-Jane Smith and Elise Glynn who both returned home with bronze from the most recent World Boxing Cup event which took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Completing the squad is featherweight Vivien Parsons and light-middleweight Callum Makin, who will be making their GB Boxing debuts when they step through the ropes in Finland.
All five boxers will represent England at the Tammer tournament. The full team is:
