Will Hewitt will now compete at World Boxing Championships in Liverpool after Jack Dryden is forced out with a hand injury

Will Hewitt will represent England in the lightweight division (60kg) at the forthcoming World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, 4-14 September 2025, after Jack Dryden, who was originally selected, was forced to withdraw with a hand injury.

Wigan’s Hewitt is one of 16 boxers from the GB Boxing squad that have been selected to represent England at the inaugural World Boxing Championships, which will feature more than 550 men and women from 65 countries.
