SIX Olympians will this week take part in the Grand Prix tournament in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic, this week as preparations ramp up ahead of Paris 2024.

The tournament will run from 12th-15th June and will be the final time those that have qualified for this year’s Olympic Games will box competitively ahead of their opening bouts in Paris.

Charley Davison (54kg) will be hoping to replicate her gold medal performance last time out at the World Boxing Cup: International held in Colorado Spring back in April with teammates Chantelle Reid (75kg) and Delicious Orie (92kg+) also back in action for the first time since that event.

At heavyweight (92kg), Pat Brown will be making his first outing since securing Olympic qualification at the first world qualifier in Busto Arisizo, Italy. Brown won all four of his bouts on the way to booking his place in Paris and will be looking for a similar outcome on this occasion.

Rosie Eccles (66kg) and the refugee team’s Cindy Ngamba (75kg) will both step through the ropes for the time since Helsinki hosted the Gee Bee in April, where the pair picked up a bronze and gold medal respectively.

The six Olympians will be joined by GB Boxing teammates Demie-Jade Restzan (50kg) and Sameenah Toussaint (57kg) who complete the squad.

All eight boxers will represent England, Wales and the Refugee team at the Grand Prix.  The full team is:
