Four boxers from Great Britain will compete on the opening day of action at the World Boxing Cup Finals in Sheffield.
Kelsey Oakley, Zoe Andrews, Dione Burman and Dimeji Shittu are the four members of the GB Boxing squad set to step through the ropes at English Insititute of Sport tomorrow.
In the event’s opening bout, England’s Kelsey Oakley will take on Thailand’s Lalita Chainarong at 11am in the flyweight contest.
She will soon be followed into the ring by Wales’ Zoe Andrews at bantamweight who faces Olena Savchuk of Italy at 12:00pm.
Moving into the day’s evening session and first up is welterweight Dione Burman. The U23 European championship bronze medallist is against Switzerland’s Anna Jenni at 18:00pm.
Concluding the first day of boxing for Great Britain will be Dimeji Shittu, who at light-heavyweight enters the ring versus China’s Halimulati Rehemandu at 19:15pm.

Prices start at £12 per session for the first three days of action when there will be one ring and two sessions of boxing starting at 11:00 (12:00 on day three) and 17:00.
Tickets for Saturday’s finals session are £15. All tickets will be subject to a booking fee and discounts are available for groups of ten. Some tickets will be available for sale on the door, priced at £15 per session for the first three days and £20 on finals day.

The World Boxing Cup is a new international boxing format developed by World Boxing, the international federation which has been established to ensure boxing remains at the heart of the Olympic Movement. The Finals event in Sheffield will be delivered by England Boxing in association with World Boxing and GB Boxing and is supported by the National Lottery and Sheffield City Council.
