GB Boxing will send nine boxers to compete in the upcoming Leszek tournament in Kielce, Poland due to take place from 17th-24th September 2023.

The squad will be comprised of six men and three women and includes two members of the academy squad.

It is the third consecutive competition in which British boxers have travelled to Poland, following the European Games in June and last week’s Silesian.

The tournament will see a return to action for 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Ioan Croft. The Welsh boxer most recently took bronze at the Feliks Stamm.

Lightweight Gemma Richardson is also back in action and will look to continue her recent form which has seen her win medals at both of her last two tournaments: Cesme (gold) and Grand Prix (bronze).

The same can be said for Patrick Hewitt. The academy boxer won gold at the Boxam back in May, having also been crowned champion of the Golden Gong last year.

The second academy boxer travelling to Poland is super-heavyweight Ike Ogbo. He competed alongside fellow Lezeck attendee Olivia Holmes, at the Bocskai where the pair won bronze and gold respectively.

Completing the squad is 2022 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Savannah Stubley, as well as flyweight Hamza Mehmood, light-welterweight Joe Tyers and light-heavyweight George Crotty.

The nine boxers will represent England and Wales at Leszek tournament.  The full team is:
