Olympic boxing hopefuls, Lauren Price and Karriss Artingtsall, will return to action this week when they compete in the Grand Prix event in Ústí nad Labem in the Czech Republic (5 – 8 May 2021).
It will be the first time featherweight, Artingstall, has boxed competitively since October 2019 when she won a bronze medal at the 2019 world championships in Russia.
For world champion Lauren Price, it will be her second outing of 2021, after she won a silver medal at Hungary’s Bocskai tournament in February, narrowly losing out in the final to long-term rival, Nouchka Fontjin.
99 boxers from 18 countries will take part in the Grand Prix which gets underway on Wednesday 5 May 2021.
Artingtsall will be first in the ring when she takes on Sandra Kruk of Poland.
Social distancing protocols will be in place throughout the tournament venues. Coaches will wear personal protective equipment (PPE) during the competition and officials will wear masks.
