
Cheavon Clarke, secured Team GB’s first boxing medal at the 2019 European Games in Minsk yesterday (25 June 2019) with a unanimous victory over Holland’s highly experienced Peter Mullenberg in his heavyweight quarter-final.
Clarke’s victory guarantees him at least a bronze medal and earnt him a place in Friday’s semi-finals when he will have the chance to make the final and upgrade to a silver or gold.
Today seven of Clarke’s teammates will be trying to emulate his achievement when they compete in today’s (Wednesday 26 June 2019) quarter-finals. The day kicks off with Galal Yafai competing to reach the semi-finals. The remaining schedule is below:
