Profile:

Dalton joined the GB Boxing squad in 2016 and, in his first year, he was one of eight athletes selected to travel with the Olympic boxers to Rio as sparring partners in the run-up to the Games.

He also competed for the British Lionhearts in the 2016 season of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) and finished the year by winning the GB Boxing Championship which was held in his hometown of Sheffield.

Dalton was introduced to boxing at the age of five by his dad, who has gone on to train him ever since and is the owner and head coach of Steel City ABC in Sheffield.

He won his first bout at a club show on his eleventh birthday and two years later he secured his first title by winning the Schoolboy Championships.

When Dalton is not in the gym, he likes to spend his spare time fishing which helps him to relax and switch-off from boxing.
