The British Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with LOCOG in which the BABA will oversee the distribution of all remaining Olympic boxing equipment (excluding rings) after the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The BABA will work with the home nation associations to ensure that a fair and transparent process is in place in England, Scotland and Wales.

This process and full details of the equipment to be distributed will be announced on the BABA and respective home nation websites in due course. In the immediate short-term all our efforts are focused on winning medals at the London 2012 Olympics!

We will commit to ensuring a UK-wide legacy by working jointly with the home nations on a fair and equitable distribution plan. This will involve advertising the available equipment to national clubs and member organisations and conducting a fair and transparent process to determine the distribution of equipment.
