Nicola Adams, Savannah Marshall and Lisa Whiteside have secured gold medals for the GB Boxing team at the Women's EU Championships in Hungary, this weekend.
In her first competition since London 2012, Olympic gold medalist Nicola overwhelmed Bulgarian Stoyka Petrova, an experienced opponent who couldn't match the Leeds boxer's stamina and clever tactics. Controlling the pace of the bout from the beginning, Nicola never looked in trouble as she finished a successful tournament with a flourish.

Current world champion Savannah Marshall's composed performance at 75kg earned another gold medal for the team. The Hartlepool boxer employed her trademark body shots to secure a points decision over Nouchka Fontjin of the Netherlands.

GB Boxing's newest addition, Preston's Lisa Whiteside, unleashed powerful hooks upon the Czech Republic's Alice Sromka, giving her opponent little time to breathe as she landed shots with precision as she eased her way to gold at 54kg.

At 60kg Natasha Jonas was unlucky to lose her quarter final against French boxer Estelle Mossely. It took judges four minutes to decide upon Mossely as winner after a close and tactical bout.

Welsh boxer Lynsey Holdaway also had to settle for bronze after losing a split decision to Italian Valeria Calabrese.

England's Ebonie Jones (50kg) and Chantelle Reid (70kg) gave a glimpse of things to come from the next generation of female boxers. Both won gold medals in the junior finals of the competition.
