Nicola Adams collected her MBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
The 30-year-old from Leeds was awarded her MBE for services to boxing following a sensational year which saw her become the first female British boxer to win gold at an Olympic Games.

GB Boxing's Performance Director Rob McCracken and Nicola's London 2012 team mates and fellow gold medallists Luke Campbell and Anthony Joshua also made the Queen's New Year Honours List

Rob McCracken said: “It is great for the sport that the performance of the team at 2012 has been recognised in this way and I am delighted that all of our gold medalists have been honoured.  I would like to thank all of the boxers, coaches and support team at the BABA whose hard work and dedication contributed to the success of the team in London.”
