Crystal Barker claims gold at Nations Cup

Crystal Barker picked up a gold medal at the Nations Cup in Serbia this weekend, beating Kazakhstan's Sevara Tadzhikulova 7:2 in the 51kg final.
The 16-year-old from Bridgewater Salford Amateur Boxing Club gave a composed performance to dominate the bout after a cagey first round. 

Crystal beat Indian boxer Lalruatfeli without conceding a single point in an impressive semi final which she won 8:1 on Thursday.

Team mate Sandy Ryan had to settle for bronze after a tough bout against a Serbian on home soil. In her international debut as a senior, the Derby boxer, also representing One Nation Amateur Boxing Club, lost to experienced Russian Natalia Shadrina (Russia) 3:1 in her semi final on Thursday.
