Safeguarding in Sport

By 17th January 2017News

The revelations that are coming out about abuse have shaken the sports world and whilst substantial progress has been made, we can’t be complacent in making sure children are safe when they are playing sport.

Focusing on the importance of that, child protection in boxing is taken incredibly seriously, in which BABA have put in a place a series of robust procedures; Safeguarding policy, reporting procedures and disciplinary procedures.  These policies and procedures were developed working with the NSPCC CPSU to ensure everyone in the sport accepts their responsibilities to safeguard children from harm and abuse.  These policies and procedures can be found in the governance section of the GB Boxing website (link below).
